Ryan Burgess vs. Tim Flores set for CES vs. NEF: Supremacy

New England Fights (NEF) amateur flyweight champion Ryan Burgess will return to action on November 4 in Maine at CES vs. NEF: Supremacy as he will meet Tim Flores in a non-title fight.

The fight booking was announced by New England Fights on Wednesday afternoon.

CES vs. NEF: Supremacy will come from the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston, Maine and tickets are currently on sale at www.TheColisee.com or by calling the Colisee box office at 207.783.2009, extension 525.

Burgess (2-1) is coming off his first defeat of his amateur career as he was submitted by Dustin Veinott in a non-title fight. Prior to that defeat, both of his amateur victories had come by decision and he defeated Veinott in late 2015 to claim the New England Fights amateur flyweight title.

“Flores seems like a tough dude and I’m expecting a gritty opponent,” said Burgess. “Coming off a loss, I am eager to jump back in the cage for NEF and capture another victory. With new coaches in my corner, I will be a new fighter come November 4th, and he will be in for a rough night.”

Flores (3-2) will be stepping back into competition for the first time since 2014 and two of his three victories have come by stoppage. Just like Burgess, he enters this fight following a defeat as he lost a decision against Adam Mimms in April of 2014.

“I have been out of competition for some time, but have been working while gone,” Flores stated. “I’m looking forward to testing my new skills and bettering myself as a fighter.”

The current CES vs. NEF: Supremacy fight card is below.
