Ultimate Fighter alum Pat Walsh meets Carlos Zevallos at CES MMA 38

A heavyweight bout has been booked for this month’s CES MMA 38 as Ultimate Fighter alum Pat Walsh will meet Carlos Zevallos.

The fight booking was announced by CES MMA officials on Thursday.

CES MMA 38 will come from the Foxwoods Casino and Resort in Connecticut and will be headlined by a matchup between UFC vets as Levan Makashvili meets Sean Soriano.

Walsh (8-2) is currently on a three fight winning streak and is coming off a stoppage victory last month against Leroy Johnson at WXC 64. This will be his fourth professional fight to take place in the CES MMA cage and his last appearance in the promotion came last year when he defeated Jesse McElligott by decision at CES MMA 30.

“I’m much better now than when I was in the UFC and a hundred times better than when I was on The Ultimate Fighter. I’m bigger, I’m stronger, and I’m a bit wiser,” said Walsh. “I’m now in my peak, and more dangerous than ever.”

Zevallos (3-3) has won two of his last three fights and is coming off a win against Charles Moreland in 2014. Two of his three wins have come by decision and four of his six fights have ended in the first round.

“Pat is pretty tough, but I’ve fought tougher opponents in the past,” said Zevallos. “He’s a wrestler who comes forward, throws punches and tries to go for the takedown. The guys I spar with are pretty high-level too, though, so I’m sure he doesn’t have anything I haven’t seen before.”
