Chuck O’Neil vs. Wilfredo Santiago headlines CES MMA 39 on November 4 in Massachusetts

The next CES MMA event will be taking place on November 4 at the Plymouth Memorial Hall in Plymouth, Massachusetts and the fight card will be headlined by a middleweight bout as Chuck O’Neil will meet Wilfredo Santiago.

The fight booking was announced by CES MMA on Friday morning.

CES MMA 39 will be promoted in association with Cage Titans FC, and features the return of New England fighters Saul Almeida, Manny Bermudez, Remo Cardarelli, Bobby Flynn, Joshua Ricci, and the CES MMA debuts of Sityodtong Boston’s unbeaten Barrett brothers, Peter and Max.

“Our goal was to have two events in Massachusetts by yearend. When the opportunity presented itself to work with Mike Polvere and the crew at Cage Titans FC, we knew it would be a night of unforgettable action,” stated CES MMA CEO Jimmy Burchfield Jr. “Mike does an incredible job and Plymouth Memorial Hall has such a great fight history. A lot of the CES MMA fighters initially made a name for themselves at Cage Titans FC. We’re excited to be showcasing more of the East Coast’s best talent.”

O’Neil (17-8) has won back to back fights and is 8-3 in his last eleven fights. His most recent victory came in August at CES MMA 37 as he defeated Roy Jones by TKO in the first round.

“Wilfredo is a guy who likes to go out there and throw bombs. He’s got a heavy right hand and he’s going to try to hit me in the head with it. I’m going to try to slam him in the head,” said O’Neil. “I’m not going to force anything, but I’m going to be very aggressive and finish this fight impressively.”

Santiago (6-3) is returning to the CES MMA cage for the first time since 2013 and enters this fight with a three fight winning streak. All of those victories have come by stoppage in the first round and he is coming off a TKO victory against Nuri Shakir in August.

“I’m really excited to be back for CES MMA. Not many people have seen my improvements since I last fought for them. I finished my last fight in two minutes, so nobody has really seen what I’m capable of doing now,” said Santiago. “I’m comfortable everywhere, and I can finish the fight anywhere. I’m going to show that on November 4 in Plymouth and stake my claim as New England’s top middleweight.”
