A key matchup in the Bellator light heavyweight division will take place tomorrow night in San Jose, California as former title challenger Linton Vassell will meet Francis Carmont on the main card of Bellator 165.
Vassell (16-5, 1NC) is coming off a win against former Bellator champion Emanuel Newton in February at Bellator 149 and was scheduled to fight Carmont back in July at Bellator 158. However, an injury forced Vassell to pull out of the event and Carmont would end up scoring as submission victory against Łukasz Klinger.
During this week’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Vassell was a guest on the podcast to preview his fight against Carmont tomorrow night at Bellator 165 and stated that he believes a title shot in on the line in this fight.
