The main event of tonight’s Shamrock FC 282 will be a heavyweight bout as Kelvin Tiller will step into MMA competition for the first time in nearly two years as he will meet Kevin Sears Jr. on the fight card coming from the Ameristar Casino in Kansas City.
Tiller (7-1) is coming off a win against Marcus Sursa in a light heavyweight bout as Shamrock FC: Heavy Artillery in March of 2015 and this will be his heavyweight debut. His victory over Sursa came by rear-naked choke submission and five of his seven career victories are by submission.
During this week’s episode of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Tiller was a guest on the podcast to preview his fight against Sears Jr. at Shamrock FC 282 and explained why he decided to move up to the heavyweight division.
