Dana said Ryan Bader was free to go. That they were not gonna match Bellator’s contract offer. But yet Scott Coker still sent them the contract to see if UFC will match. Is that something they have to do anyway?

If Larkin signs with Bellator. What weight class do you want to see him debut in Bellator. For me it’s Middleweight. I think his first fight should be vs Shlemenko.

IMO, UFC 208 was the worst MMA event so far in 2017. Hbu?

Bellator is required to send the contract over to the UFC, since they have matching rights per their promotional agreements. Larkin would be a welterweight and in terms of worse MMA event so far, I am sure most people would say UFC 208. I could see people saying Bellator 171 due to how the main event went on that night.

He’s a welterweight right now. But he could fight at Bellator’s middleweight division. The middleweight division is one of their worst. Bantamweight, middleweight, and heavyweight are their worst divisions. They need to really improve those asap.

      • Jason Floyd

Totally agree about needing to improve the depth of those divisions. However, welterweight is where the money fights are for Larkin in Bellator.

How long does the UFC have to decline the Ryan Bader contract from Bellator? Why wait this long if they obviously aren’t gonna match?

Did UFC waive Lorenz Larkin’s matching rights?

    • Jason Floyd

Standard MMA matching rights clause is 2 weeks. Once a fighter accepts a deal with another promotion, the previous promotion has between 10-14 days to exercise their right to match. In terms of Larkin, the general term for having matching rights is 12 months.

Do you like the Magic/ Raptors trade? Do you think Payton and Vuc are next? You think they could get a first round pick for one of them?

    • Jason Floyd

The trade is alright, I guess. Ibaka was clearly not in the long term plans with the Magic after how this season has gone. Getting Ross is a nice pickup as the Magic need someone who can spread the floor out on the offensive end. It’s more like that Vucevic gets dealt than Payton, but I would like to see both of them stay. Magic’s big problem is they need shooters. Tough team to watch play right now.

When there’s so many BS decisions in the UFC nobody really talks about it. But when there’s some BS decisions in Bellator everybody talks about. Funny how that works huh..
