Bellator 178 Post Fight Stats: Patricio Pitbull has the most submission wins in featherweight history

Bellator 178 took place on Friday from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and was headlined by Patricio “Pitbull” Freire becoming a two-time Bellator featherweight champion as he submitted Daniel Straus in the second round with a guillotine choke.

The co-main event of the fight card also saw a victory by submission as Ilima-Lei MacFarlane remained undefeated with an armbar submission in the opening round against Jessica Middleton.
