The co-main event of Friday’s Bellator 182 will be a welterweight bout as Fernando Gonzalez will look for his second straight victory when he meets Brennan Ward on the fight card coming from the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York.
Gonzalez (26-14) has won six of his seven fights in Bellator and is coming off a decision victory against Brandon Girtz at Bellator 174 in March. Four of his six wins in Bellator have come by decision and his last stoppage victory came in 2015 against Curtis Millender.
During last week’s episode of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Gonzalez was a guest on the podcast to preview his matchup against Ward and explained how he believed that Ward’s fighting style is going to allow him to showcase more of his skills.
