Bellator 186 will take place on Friday night and the main card on Spike will feature a lightweight bout as Saad Awad will look to rise up the Bellator lightweight division rankings when he meets Zach Freeman on the fight card coming from Bryce Jordan Center on the campus of Penn State University.
Awad (20-9) will be making his 15th appearance in the Bellator cage and he’s coming off a decision win against Ryan Quinn at Bellator 178 in April. The victory snapped a two fight losing streak and he’s 5-3 in his last eight fights.
During last week’s episode of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Awad was a guest on the podcast to preview his matchup against Freeman on Friday at Bellator 186. Along with previewing his fight, he talked about a recent training session with Duane Ludwig and the potential addition of the 165 pound weight class.
