Anthony Johnson headlines Titan FC 24

Former UFC fighter Anthony Johnson will be moving up to the light heavyweight division and will headlined Titan Fighting Championship 24 on August 24th against Esteves Jones.

Titan FC officials recently made the announcement that Johnson would be headlining the fight card next month and they also announced the co-main event will see BJJ specialist Braulio Estima making his MMA debut against Chris Holland.

The fight card will take place from the Memorial Hall in Kansas City and will be broadcasted live on AXS TV on August 24th.

Johnson (11-4) was released by the UFC in January after he failed to make weight at UFC 142 and was defeated by Vitor Belfort. He elected to sign with Titan FC and won his debut with Titan in May with a unanimous decision victory over Dave Branch.

The fight was scheduled to be a middleweight bout, but Johnson was unable to make weight and the fight was moved to a catchweight bout of 195 pounds. After the fight, he said that he was done trying to make middleweight and would move up to the light heavyweight division.

Jones (8-3) will be making his Titan FC debut against Johnson and has won three of his last five fights. Six of his eight professional wins are by knockout and four of those victories have come in the first round.
