During the UFC 149 pay-per-view, UFC President Dana White wrote on his Twitter account about the poor job the referees were doing.
White was frustrated with referee Yves Lavigne, who was the referee in the heavyweight fight between Cheick Kongo and Shawn Jordan. White wrote on his Twitter about Lavigne allowing Kongo and Jordan to stay in the clinch against the cage for the entire third round.

After the fight card was over, White went on FUEL TV with Ariel Helwani and talked more about how frustrated he was at the referees who worked UFC 149 at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary. White said that “the officiating these days are going to kill combat sports.”
