Cung Le recently earned his first UFC victory with a unanimous decision win over Patrick Cote and UFC President Dana White said they hoped to have Le fight at UFC on FUEL TV 6 in China.
White recently said that the organization is looking to have Rich Franklin take on Le at UFC on FUEL TV 6, but a foot injury suffered by Le at UFC 148 may not allow him to fight in China on November 10th.
Franklin was a guest on last night’s episode of “Inside MMA” on AXS TV and said he is open to the fight with Le. Franklin told the weekly MMA show that the UFC is figuring out the injury situation with Le and will go from there.
Franklin and Le wrote about the potential fight on Twitter yesterday and the two fighters joke about the potential fight.
“@RichFranklin: @dovendoneve @cungle185 thanks…um I think 🙂 hey Rich if we fight don’t aim for my foot and I won’t aim for your arm 😉

@CungLe185 @dovendoneve and if you could avoid my groin too. That hurt last fight 🙂

As long as Le’s foot is fine to train for this fight, it appears that this will be the main event of UFC on FUEL TV 6, which will be the first UFC show in China.
