The 7th season of Bellator starts on September 28th

The Bellator Fighting Championships is currently in the Summer Series and the seventh season of Bellator will kick off on September 28th from Caesars Atlantic City.

This will be the last season that the MMA promotion will be on MTV2 as they will move to Spike TV in January 2013.

“Caesars Atlantic City has become a second home to Bellator, so kicking off our seventh season in New Jersey was a very easy decision to make,” said Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney. “Atlantic City is a classic fight town and New Jersey is a hotbed for mixed martial arts, so our fans should expect another great night of fights.”

The preliminary card will air on Spike.com at 7 p.m. ET and the main card will start at 8 p.m. ET on MTV2 and EPIX2 in commercial free high definition. The main card will feature the quarterfinals of the next welterweight tournament and the complete field has not been announced for the tournament.

In the press release to announce this fight card, Bellator said that former champion Lyman Good (12-2) will be one of the fighters in the field. He was the first ever Bellator welterweight champion and he is coming off a 13 second knockout win over LeVon Maynard at Bellator 65 in April.

Tickets for this fight card are already on sale at the Caesars Box Office and Ticketmaster, with the ticket prices ranging from $165-$52. Stay tuned to TheMMAReport.com for updates on this Bellator fight card.
