The first fight on the main card of tonight’s Strikeforce card was in the light heavyweight division as Ovince St. Preux delivered a one punch knockout in the third round against T.J. Cook. 
The fight begin with St. Preux dropping Cook early in the first round and nearly finished the fight. Cook was able to recover and he then showed St. Preux his power.
After both fighters saw each others power during the first round, both fighters were more selected with their strikes in the second round. St. Preux ended up going for a takedown and worked his ground game. He ended up in the mount and finished the round by throwing strikes from that position.
Prior to the third round beginning, Cook seemed gassed out and St. Preux capitalized on that with a one punch knockout at the 20 second mark of the third round.
St. Preux (12-5) has now won five of his six fights in Strikeforce and his only lost coming against former Strikeforce champion Gegard Mousasi.
