UFC 150 Preliminary Card Preview: Ken Stone vs. Erik Perez

After Dustin Pague and Chico Camus square off in a bantamweight bout, the other bantamweight bout on the UFC 150 card will take place as Ken Stone (11-3) meets Erik Perez (11-4).

This will be the second fight on the UFC 150 preliminary card on FX, which will begin at 8 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.

After starting his UFC career with a lost to Scott Jorgensen, Stone has won two in a row and is coming off a split decision win at UFC on FX 4 against Pague. Prior to his win against Pague, he defeated Donny Walker at UFC Fight Night 25.

During his career, Pague has won by stoppage in ten of his eleven victories and six of those wins are by submission. Two of his three loses have come by knockout with the defeats coming against Eddie Wineland in the WEC and Jorgensen in his UFC debut.

Perez made his UFC debut earlier this year at the Ultimate Fighter Finale and scored a controversial submission win over John Albert. Referee Kim Winslow stopped the fight in the first round after she said that Albert verbally tapped to an armbar.

Prior to making his UFC debut, he had won five straight fights and three of those wins came by submission. He trains out of Jackson’s MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico and nine of his eleven victories are by submission or knockout.

Stone will have a three inch advantage in the reach, but both fighters like to get the fight to the ground. Perez’s gameplan will likely be to stand with Stone, since two of his three career loses are by knockout. Perez has only been stopped once in his career, but that was by submission.

With both of these fighters being known as finishers, this could be a quick fight on the UFC 150 preliminary card on FX.
