Professional kick boxer Tyrone Spong has been training with the Blackzilians in South Florida and he has announced he will be making his professional MMA debut later this year.
Spong made the announcement on “Inside MMA” on AXS TV and said he will make his professional MMA debut on November 2nd for Titan Fighting Championships. He does not know who his opponent will be in his MMA debut, but did says he will be fighting as a light heavyweight.
He has been working with former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans for the past two years and is currently a member of the Blackzilians.
Spong cited that he lost some of his motivation for kick boxing after all the issues with K1, which included him not getting paid. He does have a four fight contract with the kick boxing organization GLORY and plans to honor that contract.
The contract length with Titan FC and Spong is not known and the fighter told the weekly MMA show that he will see how the first fight goes.
