The first fight card of the seventh season of the Bellator Fighting Championships saw the quarterfinals of this season’s welterweight tournament and the semifinals will take place on Friday night in Ohio.
Bellator 78 will come the Wright State University’s Nutter Center with the preliminary card beginning at 6 p.m ET on Spike.com and the main card will begin at 8 p.m. ET on MTV2 and in commercial free high definition on EPIX2.
The main card will be headlined by the two welterweight tournament semifinals as Lyman Good (13-2) meets Michaeil Tsarev (24-2) in the main event and Andrey Koreshkov (11-0) meets former DREAM welterweight champion Marius Zaromskis (19-6-1).
The main card will also see Summer Series featherweight tournament winner Daniel Straus and middleweight tournament veteran Brian Rogers. Also, Bellator 115 lb champion Zoila Gurgel (11-1) will headline the preliminary card when she takes on Casey Noland (4-2) in a 125 lb bout.
