After dropping his four defeat in his last five fight, UFC lightweight fighter Shane Roller is has announced his retirement on Twitter today.
Looks like I’m hanging up the gloves for good. It was fun, but time to move on. Sux that it ended like that. Now startn the next chapter!!

Roller (11-7) came into mixed martial arts after being a three time All-American wrestler at Oklahoma State University and won eight of his first ten fights in the sport. After winning three straight in the WEC, he took on Anthony Pettis in a number one contenders bout, but was defeated by submission in the third round.
Once going into the UFC, he went 2-4 with the victories coming against Thiago Tavares in his UFC debut and at UFC 145 against John Alessio. His last fight took place this past weekend at UFC on FX 5, which was a submission lost to Jacob Volkmann.
