The XFC announced at their last fight card that Eric Reynolds would be taking on Nick Newell for the vacant lightweight title in December and the organization has announced the date and venue for this fight.
XFC 21: Night of Champions II will take place on December 7th from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee and will be televised on AXS TV.
Newell (8-0) has started his career with seven of his eight victories coming in the first round and has gone 3-0 in the XFC. He earned his way into this title fight by defeating David May by knockout at XFC 19 in August.
Reynolds (16-5) is a veteran of Bellator and just like Newell, he has gone 3-0 in the XFC. His first two wins in the XFC came by decision, but scored a submission victory in the second round last month at XFC 19 against Lorenzo Borgomeo.
The co-main event at XFC 21: Night of Champions II will feature a battle of former UFC fighters as Ryan Thomas (14-7) meets Corey Hill (6-4) in a welterweight bout.
Hill made his XFC debut last year with a first round submission victory over Charlie Rader and is currently on a two fight winning streak. Thomas also made his XFC debut on the same night that Hill did and he also scored a first round submission victory with his win coming against John Kolosci.
