The UFC has added a flyweight bout to the UFC 155 on December 29th in Las Vegas as John Moraga will take on Chris Cariaso.
UFC officials have announced the fight booking and the bout will take place on the preliminary portion of the card.
Moraga (11-1) was signed by the UFC earlier this year and was scheduled to make his debut against Ian McCall at UFC on FOX 4. However, McCall had to pull out of the fight and Moraga ended up facing Ulysses Gomez and won the fight by knockout in the first round.
During his professional career, seven of his eleven victories have come by stoppage, with five of those wins coming by submission. His knockout win over Gomez was his first victory by knockout since his second career fight.
Cariaso (14-3) has won four of his five fights in the UFC and he dropped down to the flyweight division when the UFC announced they would begin fights in the weight class. His UFC flyweight debut came earlier this year at UFC on FUEL TV 4 against Josh Ferguson and he won by decision.
UFC 155 takes place on December 29th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Junior dos Santos defending his UFC heavyweight title against Cain Velasquez, which is a rematch of their 2011 bout.
