Earlier today, Strikeforce officially announced that they would be having a fight card on January 12th in Oklahoma City with three title fights on the card and heavyweight tournament winner Daniel Cormier would also be fighting.
Now, TMZ is reporting that this will be the last Strikeforce show and that womens bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has been signed by the UFC.
TheMMAReport.com reached out to Strikeforce and Showtime officials, but neither side has issued a statement on the TMZ report.
All indications are that this report by TMZ is true and Strikeforce fighters could be appearing in a UFC cage in the beginning of 2013. This will be great news for fighters like Gilbert Melendez, Luke Rockhold, Nate Marquardt and Daniel Cormier. All four of those fighters are considered top fighters in their division.
Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
