During last Friday night’s Bellator 79 fight card, Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney announced that the Bellator fans will be able to pick the first fight on Spike TV in season eight and that fight would be a quarterfinal in the welterweight tournament.
Fans will choose between Ben Saunders, Douglas Lima, Jon “War Machine” Koppenhaver and Paul Daley. The fighters will the most votes will fight each other on the season eight debut fight card on Spike TV and fans can vote on the Spike website.
“As we prepare for our long awaited debut on Spike TV, we’ve assembled four of the most exciting welterweights on the planet, and letting our fans vote on who they want to see kick off the first ever Bellator fight on Spike TV,” said Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney.
Every Thursday on Spike.com, a brand new web episode will be available for fans to watch and get an inside look into the four fighters who are looking for your vote.
