The UFC announced last night that Brian Stann would be taking on Wanderlei Silva in the main event of UFC on FUEL TV 8 in Japan in a light heavyweight bout but he has no plans to stay at light heavyweight after the fight.
I am not moving to LHW, just one fight, couldnt find a matchup at 185, everyone is matched up or hurt in top ten & Wand doesnt want to cut

Stann (12-5) is a former WEC light heavyweight champion and entered the UFC as a light heavyweight. After starting his UFC career by winning two of three, he lost to Phil Davis at UFC 109 and decided to move down to the middleweight division after the lost.
Since moving to middleweight, he is 4-2 with wins over Mike Massenzio, Chris Leben, Jorge Santiago and Alessio Sakara. His only losses as a middleweight have come against top contenders Chael Sonnen and Michael Bisping.
UFC on FUEL TV 7 will mark the first time that Stann has headlined a UFC card and this will be the first time he has competed in Japan, which he was born at Yokota Air Base Tokyo.
