UFC 155 takes place tonight from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and TheMMAReport.com will have live results and play by play of tonight’s card.
The preliminary card will begin at 6:35 p.m. ET/3:35 p.m. PT on the UFC Facebook Page with three fights and the preliminary card will continue at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on FX with four fights.
Then, the main card on pay-per-view will begin at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT and be headlined by Junior dos Santos defending the UFC heavyweight title against Cain Velasquez.

Chris Cariaso vs. John Moraga
Round 1 – The fight opened with the fighters feeling each other out and Moraga went for a takedown at the two minute mark, but Cariaso was able to stop the attempt. They would grapple against the cage with Cariaso’s back against the cage. Cariaso would be able to get off the fence and the action returned to the center of the octagon. The fight would stay on the feet for the remainder of the round with Cariaso landing several leg kicks.
Round 2 – As the round opened, the fighters continued to strike before they grappled against the cage. Moraga would have Cariaso’s back against the cage. Moraga would land a combination against the fence, but Cariaso was able to push him away. The fight would eventually go to the ground, with Cariaso on his back. He would get off his back with one minute remaining and they would grapple against the cage. Cariaso would be able to take the fight to the ground and the round would end in this position
Round 3 – Moraga would land a combination in the first 30 seconds of the round and pushed the action. They would grapple against the cage, with Morago looking for a submission and used a guillotine choke to get the submission victory.

Leonard Garcia vs. Max Holloway
Round 1 – Holloway opened up by throwing leg kicks and they would exchange strikes. Holloway would drop Garcia, but he would be able to get back to his feet immediately. They would continue to exchange strikes and Garcia began to find his range. Holloway would land a spinning back kick that seemed to catch Garcia. After that kick, Garcia landed several significant strikes before the end of the round.
Round 2 – The fighters continued to exchange strikes as the round open with both fighters looking for combinations. Garcia would catch the leg of Holloway and would take the fight to the ground. Garcia had top position, but Holloway would be able to get back to his feet. They would grapple against the cage and Holloway would be able to get off the fence. Garcia would land a left hand with 30 seconds left that had Holloway on his heels. The round would end with the fighters in the clinch and beginning to brawl.
Round 3 – They would exchange strikes with Garcia being the aggressor and Holloway looking for counter strikes. They would start to brawl and Garcia looked for a takedown. He would get the fight to the ground and Holloway looked for a kimura for a moment. Garcia maintained top position, but Holloway would be able to get off his back. They would end up clinching against the fence as both fighters looked fatigued. Garcia would catch another leg kick and the fight would end on the ground with Garcia slamming Holloway as the final bell sounded.

Phil De Fries vs. Todd Duffee
Round 1 – Duffee landed a kick that hurt De Fries and looked for the finish. They would clinch against the cage and De Fries would take the fight to the ground. Duffee would get back to his feet and De Fries landed several strikes as Duffee attempted to get up. Duffee would be able to reverse the position and he had De Fries against the fence. They would separate from each other and Duffee would land an uppercut, which would be the beginning of a combination that he used to finish the fight.

Michael Johnson vs. Myles Jury
Round 1 – In the opening minute of the round, the fighters felt each other out with both of them exchanging strikes. As Johnson went for a punch, Jury went for a takedown and took the fight to the ground. Jury began to work his ground game and began land multiple strikes on the ground. Johnson attempted to cover up and Jury advanced his position to half guard. Jury would get the full mount position and transition to the back and locked in a rear-naked choke. Johnson would be able to defend the takedown and make it to the second round.
Round 2 – Johnson was able to take control of the octagon as the round started and they exchanged punches and kicks. Jury would look for a single leg takedown, which would be successful. He would end up on top and in Johnson’s full guard. They would stay on the ground for the remainder of the round and the fight will head to the third round.
Round 3 – Johnson came out quickly in the final round and Jury would react by attempting to take the fight to the ground. They would grapple against the cage and Jury would trip Johnson to take the fight to the ground. While on the ground, Jury looked to advance his position and would get side control. Jury would work his ground game with strikes and looked to transition to the back of Johnson. The fight would stay on the ground until the final bell and Jury will get a decision victory.

Melvin Guillard vs. Jamie Varner
Round 1 – The fight opened with each fighter exchanging low kicks and feeling each other out. Guillard continued to land leg kicks and Varner looked to land a right hand after several of the leg kicks. Varner went for a takedown attempt with one minute left in the round, but Guillard would stop the attempt. As the round came to a close, Varner landed several strikes and looked for a guillotine choke at the end of the round.
Round 2 – After Guillard landed a leg kick, Varner would take the fight to the ground. Guillard would get off his back and looked for a guillotine choke. They would separate and the action would return to the center of the octagon. After Guillard went for a punch, Varner timed it and took the fight to the ground. Guillard would be able to get back to his feet and the action once again went to the center of the cage. Varner would throw a kick that would catch Guillard in the groin and the action was stopped. After taking a minute to recover, Guillard would continue and the round would come to an end.
Round 3 – As the round opened, Guillard came out aggressive, but Varner would take the fight to the ground. Varner looked for a submission, but Guillard would be able to transition and get top position. Varner would get back to his feet and Guillard landed a knee has he got up. Varner would once again take the fight to the ground and Guillard would once again get back to his feet. The fight would once again go back to the ground with Varner on top. Guillard would reverse the position and went for an arm bar. Varner would escape the submission and the fight returned to the feet. The fight would end with the fight on the ground as Varner landed a slam and the judges will decide the winner.

Erik Perez vs. Byron Bloodworth
Round 1 – Bloodworth opened the fight with an overhand right and Perez close the distance and grappled with him against the cage. Perez would land a knee to the body, which dropped Bloodworth and the fight went to the ground. While on the ground, Perez worked his ground game and landed several strikes. Perez would landed several elbows while on the ground and appeared to be wearing down Bloodworth. Perez would open up a cut on the forehead of Bloodworth and would go for the finish. He landed several strikes before referee Kim Winslow came in to stop the fight.

Brad Pickett vs. Eddie Wineland
Round 1 – Wineland took the center of the cage as the round opened and the fighters exchanged strikes. Two minutes into the fight, Wineland landed a combination that hurt Pickett, but he was able to recover. Both fighters would land significant strikes with Wineland landing the better punches. With 90 seconds left in the round, Pickett looked for a takedown, but Wineland was able to stop the attempt. They would exchange punches at the end of the round and the fight moves on to the second.
Round 2 – Just like in the first round, both guys came out and exchange punches. They would circle around each other for most of the round with each guy landing punches. In the last 30 seconds of the round, Pickett opened up a cut by the right eye of Wineland.
Round 3 – Pickett came out pushing the pace as the round started after his corner told him he was likely down on the scorecards. They would exchange punches and Pickett struggled to land punches as Wineland would circle around him. In the final minute of the fight, Wineland was able to stay away from Pickett and the judges will decide the winner.

Chris Leben vs. Derek Brunson
Round 1 – Brunson opened the fight with a high kick and would take the fight to the ground after they grappled. While on the ground, Brunson looked to work his ground game and Leben looked for submissions from his back. Brunson would escape a submission attempt. Brunson looked for an arm triangle choke but Leben would escaped. As Leben escaped, Brunson obtained full mount. He would transition to side control and work more of his ground game. Brunson looked for a guillotine choke against the cage, but Leben would defend the choke. Leben would get back to his feet with 20 seconds left in the round. The round would end with them grappling against the cage.
Round 2 – Brunson looked for a takedown 30 seconds into the round and Leben would defend the takedown against the fence. Leben would be able to back away from Brunson and the action returned to the center of the octagon. Brunson would be able to take the fight to the ground, but Brunson appeared tired. As Leben got to his feet, Brunson looked for a guillotine choke, but Leben would escape. Brunson would look for a takedown with 30 seconds left in the round, but Leben would stop the attempt and the round would end.
Round 3 – Brunson looked for a takedown in the first minute in the round, but Leben stopped the attempt. Brunson would eventually get the fight to the ground and Leben looked to create offense from his back. Leben would be able to get back to his feet and the action moved to the center of the cage. With one minute eft in the round, Leben landed two left hands but Brunson got a takedown that may have secured the victory. Leben would get back to his feet with 20 seconds left, but could not mount any offense.

Yushin Okami vs. Alan Belcher
Round 1 – After striking for the first mintue of the fight, Okami landed a right hand that dropped Belcher for a moment. He would get back to his feet and they would grapple against the cage. Okami looked for a leg trip, but Belcher would be able to fall down in top position. He immediately looked for a guillotine choke, but Okami escaped and ended up in top position. Okami would move to side control and Belcher was attempting to get off his back. In the final 10 seconds of the round, Okami landed several strikes on the ground.
Round 2 – In the first 20 seconds of the round, Okami was able to close the distance and grappled with Belcher. He would be able to take the fight to the ground, but Belcher ended up on top. He looked for a guillotine choke, but he let the submission go. Okami would have top position and worked his ground strikes. Even though he was in side control and attempting to advance position, the referee decided to stand the fighters up. Okami would waste no time in getting the fight back to the ground. After a lack of action on the ground, the referee would stand them up and the round would end.
Round 3 – Belcher came out aggressive as the round opened and landed a right hand that dropped Okami for a moment. He would get back to his feet and the fighters continued to exchange strikes. Okami would close the distance and looked for a takedown. Belcher was able to take the fight to the ground and landed in full mount. He transition to the back and looked for a submission. Okami was able to get out of the position and Belcher looked for a guillotine choke. Okami would escape the attempt and gained top position. He would get in the mount position and would transition to the back of Belcher with 30 seconds left. Okami would not be able to get a finish and the judges will decide the winner.

Tim Boetsch vs. Costa Philippou
Round 1 – Boetsch looked for a takedown against the cage at the 20 second mark of the round and he would eventually get the takedown. Philippou was able to get back to his feet, but they continued to grapple. Philippou would be able to escape and get the fight back to the center of the cage. Philippou landed an uppercut, but Boetsch went to grapple before Philippou pushed him away. Boetsch would take the fight to the ground with under 90 seconds left in the round. Referee Kim Winslow would stand them up and Philippou landed a combination after the stand up. Boetsch landed a front kick at the end of the round, but ran out of time to capitalized on it.
Round 2 – Philippou went for a high kick, which missed and Boetsch looked for a takedown. Philippou would be able to separate and get back to the center of the cage. Boetsch would once again look for a takedown, which was unsuccessful. Philippou would accidentally land an eye poke that stopped the action for a moment but Boetsch would continue. The fight would go to the ground, with Philippou in top position. The round would end with Philippou in top position and landing strikes.
Round 3 – Boetsch looked for a takedown early in the round, which was unsuccessful and Philippou ended up in top position. Philippou walked away from Betsch and forced him to stand up and strike. Boetsch looked for a takedown and was once again unsuccessful. Boestsch went for a takedown, but Philippou was able to be in top position and used strikes to finish the fight.

Jim Miller vs. Joe Lauzon
Round 1 – Miller came out swinging and landing several significant strikes. While in the clinch, Lauzon landed an uppercut and Miller backed away. Miller landed an inside leg kick and several punches, which caused Lauzon to cover up. Miller continued to control the fight with his punches and had Lauzon on his heels. Miller continued to land strikes and went for an arm triangle choke against the cage. A cut opened up on the forehead of Lauzon and the referee stopped the action to have the cage side doctor look at the cut. The doctor let the fight continued and Miller continued to dominate the action with his punches. Even thought Miller was controlling the fight, Lauzon continued to come forward.
Round 2 – After exchanging strikes for the first 30 seconds of the round, Miller was able to take the fight to the ground. Miller worked his top game and would be able to get the full mount. He would move to half guard mid way through the round. Lauzon would be able to reverse the position and be in top position. Miller would look for submissions from his back and Lauzon escaped the attempts. Lauzon would look for his own submission attempt at the end of the round and Miller escaped.
Round 3 – Lauzon went for a strike at the 45 second mark, missed and fell to the ground. After not going to the ground, Miller decided to have Lauzon stand up. They would exchange strikes and Lauzon landed a knee to the body that backed up Miller. With 30 seconds left in the round, Lauzon looked for a heel and then a guillotine choke as the round ended.

Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez
Round 1 – Velasquez came straight at Dos Santos and went for a takedown, which was successful. However, Dos Santos was able to get right back to his feet. After Dos Santos landed a right hand, Velasquez went for takedown which was unsuccessful. After exchanging strikes and circling around the cage, they grappled against the cage before Dos Santos backed away. Velasquez landed a right hand that dropped Dos Santos and he looked for the finish. Dos Santos would get back to his feet for a moment but the fight went back to the ground. Velasquez had the back of Dos Santos and the fight will go to the second round.
Round 2 – Velasquez was able to get a takedown at the start of the round and Velasquez began to work his ground game. The fight would go back to the feet, but once agains Velasquez would take the fight to the ground. Velasquez continued to dominate the action on the ground. Dos Santos would get the fight back to the feet, but Velasquez continued to land significant strikes. Velasquez went for a submission on the ground, but Dos Santos was able to escape. The round would end with them grappling against the cage and Velasquez wearing down the champion.
Round 3 – After Dos Santos landed punches, Velasquez was able to take the fight to the ground. Dos Santos would get back to his feet and they would grapple against the cage. Velasquez would look for a takedown, but Dos Santos would escape. Velasquez would continue to land big shots and Dos Santos could not answer. Velasquez would continue to wear down Dos Santos in the remainder of the round and they will head to the championship rounds.
Round 4 – Once again, they would grapple against the cage with Dos Sanots back against the cage. Velasquez would look for a takedown, but Dos Santos was able to stop the attempt. Velasquez would be able to get the fight to the ground and looked to get the back of Dos Santos. Dos Santos would get back to his feet and they would grapple against the cage. Dos Santos would mount offense in the final minute and the fight heads to the final round.
Round 5 – Velasquez would immediately look to grapple with Dos Santos and looked to take the fight to the ground. They would separate and circle around each other. Dos Santos landed a right hand, but Velasquez continued to come forward. Velasquez would use a single leg to take the fight to the ground. While on the ground, he landed multiple strikes and got the back of Dos Santos. Dos Santos would get back to his feet and they would grapple against the cage. They would continue in this position until the final bell.
Result: Cain Velasquez def. Junior dos Santos via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-43, 50-44) to win the UFC heavyweight title
