Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal made his Bellator debut last night at Bellator 86 and scored a first round knockout victory over Przemyslaw Mysiala in the quarterfinals of the light heavyweight tournament.Bellator 90

With the win, Lawal advances to the semifinals and will now face Emanuel Newton. After the conclusion of the Bellator 86 Post Fight Press Conference, Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney told TheMMAReport.com that the semifinal bout will take place at Bellator 90 on February 21st in Salt Lake City.

Rebney is hopeful that the other semifinal bout between Zayats and Jacob Noe will be on the same fight card. Initially, Rebney heard that Noe had a fractured orbital bone, but that is not the case.

“We just have to get the final word on Jacob’s eye, but initally we heard he had a broken orbital,” Rebney said. “He came back to us and said he had gone to the doctor and he sent us the results and there is no break. or fractured. He sent us the pictures and the swelling has gone way down.”

Noe did received a medical suspension from the California State Athletic Commission over his eye, but the suspension can be lifted once he is cleared by a doctor.

Bellator 90 on February 21st will be headlined by the season seven featherweight tournament final as Utah’s own Rad Martinez faces Shahbulat Shamhalaev. Outside of the main event and the light heavyweight tournament semifinals, Bellator has not announced any other fights.
