UFC on FOX 6 Live Results and Play by Play

UFC on FOX 6 takes place tonight from the United Center in Chicago and TheMMAReport.com will have live results and play by play of tonight’s card.UFC FOX 6 #2

The preliminary card will begin at 4:35 p.m. ET/1:35 p.m. PT on the UFC Facebook Page with one fight and the preliminary card will continue at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT on FX with six fights.

The main card on FOX will begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and be headlined by Demetrious Johnson defending the UFC flyweight title against John Dodson.

Live Results will begin with the preliminary card bouts and play by play of the event will begin with the main card on FX.

Eric Koch vs. Ricardo Lamas
Round 1 – Lamas opened up the fight by throwing a leg kick and would follow that kick up with a head kick that missed. Koch would end up throwing his own head kick, which Lamas blocked with his arm. Lamas would end up going for a takedown against the fence and he would briefly get the fight to the ground before Koch got back to his feet. As Koch got to his feet, Lamas held onto one of the legs of Koch and continued to look for the takedown. They would grapple against the cage, with Koch’s back against the fence. After exchanging strikes for a minute, Lamas looked for a takedown, which he would complete. Koch would immediately get back to his feet and the round would end. Round 2 – Lamas opened the round with a leg kick and they exchanged strikes before they once again grappled against the cage. Lamas back would be against the fence. Koch would back away and get the action back to the center of the cage. Lamas would take the fight to the ground and was able to begin to work his ground game for the first time in the fight. He landed an elbow that opened up a cut on Koch and landed punches and strikes on the ground and referee John McCarthy came in to stop the fight.

Anthony Pettis vs. Donald Cerrone
Round 1 – Cerrone wanted to touch gloves at the start of the fight, but Pettis did not. Both fighters came out swinging with both landing strikes. Pettis began to land kicks to the body and Cerrone seemed to be hurt. Pettis would land a kick to the liver, which dropped Pettis and he landed strikes on the ground and the referee came in to stop the fight.

Quinton Jackson vs. Glover Teixeira
Round 1 – Both fighters came out swinging and they would circle around each other looking for their strikes. Teixeira would take the fight to the ground and would get the back of Rampage. He would look for a submission, but Rampage would defend it. Rampage would get off the ground and get the fight back to the feet. Rampage would land a combination and each fighter began to throw big punches. Rampage looked for a takedown, which was unsuccessful and Teixiera would land a strike that rocked Rampage. Teixeira landed a left hand that seemed to hurt Rampage and would land another punch that dropped Rampage. He would get back to his feet with 40 seconds left in the round. The round would come to an end with Rampage landing a right hand. TheMMAReport.com scores the round 10-9 for Teixeira.

Round 2 – Teixeira looked for a takedown in the first 20 seconds of the round, which was successful. Once on the ground, Teixeira looked to advance his position and Rampage was looking to get back to his feet. Rampage would be able to get back to his feet and landed two uppercuts. Teixeira would land his jab and Rampage appeared to be getting tired. Rampage started to trash talk Teixeira and could be trying to bait him into a brawl. The round would end with Rampage missing an overhand right. TheMMAReport.com scores the round 10-9 for Teixeira and have him up 20-18.

Round 3 – Rampage came out landing the first punch and they stood in front of each other and traded strikes. Teixeira would attempt a takedown, which was successful and the crowd at the United Center booed the takedown. Teixeira looked for an arm triangle choke on the ground and Rampage defended the attempt. He would get back to his feet and started to swing wild. Teixeira would continue to come forward and the energy that Rampage had at the beginning of the round was gone. With 40 seconds left in the round, Teixeira would take the fight to the ground and would have the mount position. The fight would end in this position and the judges will decide the fight. Demetrious Johnson vs. John Dodson
Round 1 – Dodson was able to land the first strike, which was a kick. They circled around each other and showing the pace that they bring to the octagon. Dodson was able to land a punch, that dropped Johnson. He would be able to get back to his feet. Johnson struggled with landing his punches and Dodson was able to move out of the way. After Johnson came in for a strike, Dodson landed a short left hand. Johnson would end up looking for a double leg takedown and would slam him to the ground. Dodson would get back to his feet and they would grapple against the cage. The round would come to an end with them clinching against the fence. TheMMAReport.com scores the round for Dodson 10-9.

Round 2 – Johnson looked for a takedown in the first 40 seconds, which was successful. Dodson would get back to his feet and the action returned to the center of the cage. Dodson would land a left hand that dropped Johnson, but he did not go on the attack and Johnson got back to his feet. Dodson would land another punch that dropped Johnson and he would once again get back to his feet. Johnson would look for a takedown, which was unsuccessful. For the remainder of the round, they exchanged strikes and Johnson landed a knee at the end of the round. TheMMAReport.com scores the round 10-9 for Dodson and 20-18 overall.

Round 3 – The round opened with the fighters continuing the high pace and Johnson looked for a takedown at the one minute mark of the round. As he was looking for a takedown, he landed a knee to the groin and the action was stopped. After taking a minute to recover and the fight would continue. As the fight continues, Johnson landed a combination and was one of his better combinations in the fight. Dodson would counter strike with Johnson, which included kicks to the body. Johnson would rush in on Dodson and took the fight to the ground with 90 seconds left. Johnson would look to advance his position, but Dodson would be able to get back to his feet. Once again, Johnson would look for a takedown but could not complete it and the round would come to an end. TheMMAReport.com scores the round 10-9 for Johnson and have him up 29-28 overall.

Round 4 – Johnson continued to push the pace and would take the fight to the ground. Dodson would attempt to get to his feet and had one hand on the ground. Johnson landed an illegal knee and the action was stopped. The cage side doctors came in to check on Dodson and the fight would continue. They would exchange strikes before Johnson went for a takedown near the fence. He would not be able to take the fight to the ground and the action returned to the center of the cage. Johnson would shoot for a takedown once again and had one of Dodson’s legs against the fence. Johnson would land a knee as they grappled. He would continue to land knees and Dodson would put his hand on the ground to stop the knees and the round would end. TheMMAReport.com scores the round 10-9 for Johnson and have it 38-38.

Round 5 – After circling around each other for 30 seconds, Johnson would clinch Dodson, land a knee and take the fight to the ground. Dodson would get back to his feet and they would grapple against the cage. Johnson would jump up on Dodson and landed elbows to the head. The action would return to the cent of the cage and Johnson continued to push the pace. Dodson would look for a takedown against the cage and it was successful. Johnson would get back to his feet and the fight returned to the center of the cage. Johnson would get in the clinch and once again land a knee. Dodson would be able to break away, but Johnson continued to push the pace and grappled against the cage. Johnson would land knees in the clinch and looked for the finish.
