A lightweight bout has been added to UFC 156 on February 2nd as Yves Edwards will face Isaac Vallie-Flagg, who will be making his UFC debut.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Monday night and the fight will take place on the preliminary card, which is expected to air on FX and Facebook.
Edwards (42-18-1) has won four of his last six fights in his return to the UFC and is coming off a knockout victory at UFC on FOX 5 against Jeremy Stephens. Along with getting the victory, he also won the knockout of the night bonus.
Vallie-Flagg (13-3-1) comes to the UFC via Strikeforce and has gone 10-0-1 in his last 11 fights. He went 2-0 in Strikeforce with his most recent victory coming last year against Gesias Cavalcante, which was a split decision victory.
UFC 156 takes place on February 2nd from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Jose Aldo defending the UFC featherweight title against former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar.
