The Bellator 90 Weigh-In’s took place on Wednesday afternoon from the Embassy Suites in West Valley Center, Utah and the fight card is now official ten fights.
The main event is the season seven featherweight tournament final as Utah’s own Rad Martinez (145.9 lbs) meets Shahbulat Shamhalaev (145.9 lbs).
Shamhalaev initially weighed in at 146.8 pounds and was given two hours to make weight, which he was able to do.
The fight card will also see the semifinals of the light heavyweight and welterweight tournament and all of the fighters in the semifinal bouts were on weight.
In the light heavyweight tournament, Muhammed Lawal (204.3 lbs) meets Emanuel Newton (204.8 lbs) and Mikhail Zayats (204.9 lbs) meets Jacob Noe (205.3 lbs). The welterweight tournament will see Douglas Lima (170.8 lbs) face Bryan Baker (170.5 lbs) and Ben Saunders (170.3 lbs) meet Raul Amaya (169.9 lbs).
On the preliminary card, a scheduled bantamweight bout between Chase Beebe and Travis Marx is now a catchweight bout of 137 pounds after Beebe was unable to make weight. He weighed in two pounds over the bantamweight limit of 136 pounds and decided to not attempt to cut the additional weight.
