Bellator Welterweight Final set for March 21st in Maine

Bellator MMA will head to Maine for the first time in the history of the organization on March 21st and the card will be headlined by the finals of this seasons welterweight tournament. Bellator 94

Along with the tournament final, the card will feature the Bellator debuts of Michael Page and former UFC fighter and Maine native Marcus Davis.

The main card broadcast will start at 10 p.m. ET on Spike, as well as in Spanish language on mun2. The preliminary card will be streamed on Spike.com starting at 8 p.m. ET.

“We are always looking to bring Bellator MMA to new markets, and the historic Androscoggin Bank Colisee will make a fantastic host to our March 21st event live on Spike TV,” said Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney.

Since being released by the UFC at the beginning of 2011, Davis (21-9) has won four of his last five fights and he most recently won a fight in Sweden. He is happy to have the chance to fight in his home state and for Bellator.

“Having the chance to fight for a promotion like Bellator in front of my friends, family and fans is a dream come true,” Davis said. “It’s great to find a new home and fight for one of the biggest promotions in the world.”

Page (3-0) was expected to make his debut at Bellator 82 last season, but he had to pull out of the fight with an injury. All three of his wins have come in the first round, with two of them coming by TKO.

“I’m looking to put on a show March 21st in my Bellator debut, plain and simple,” Page said. “If you’ve never seen me fight, you’re making a huge mistake not tuning in. Just wait until you see what I can do. Just wait.”
