Bellator MMA announced earlier this week that the season seven lightweight tournament final between Dave Jansen and Marcin Held was off the Bellator 92 card in California due to an injury suffered by Held.
TheMMAReport.com has been able to confirm with Bellator officials that the fight has been re-scheduled and will now take place at Bellator 93 on March 21st in Maine.
The bout between Jansen and Held was originally scheduled to take place at Bellator 84 in Hammond, Indiana but the fight was scratched by the commission since Held was under 21 years old and the event was being held at a casino.
Jansen (19-2) is currently on a five fight winning streak, with all of those wins coming in Bellator. Three of his wins in Bellator have come by decision and defeated Ricardo Tirloni in the semifinals to earn a spot in the finals.
Held (15-2) is also on a five fight winning streak, with three of those wins coming by submission. He has only been defeated once in Bellator and that was against Chandler in the season four lightweight tournament quarterfinals.
Bellator 93 takes place on March 21st from the Androscoggin Colisee in Lewiston, Maine and will also feature the finals of this season’s welterweight tournament which the semifinals take place tomorrow night at Bellator 90.
