A featherweight bout has been added to UFC 160 on May 25th in Las Vegas as UFC veteran Jeremy Stephens will meet Strikeforce import Estevan Payan.
The news of the fight was announced on the UFC Tonight Twitter page and the fight will take place on the preliminary card.
Stephens (20-9) is currently on a three fight losing streak and this will be his UFC featherweight debut. He is 5-7 in his last twelve fights, with five of those losses coming by decision.
Payan (14-3) went 2-0 in Strikeforce and recently defeated Mike Bravo by TKO in the second round at the final Strikeforce event in January. He is also dropping down to the featherweight division and is currently on a five fight winning streak. He has gone 7-0, 1 no contest in this last eight fights and he has not lost since 2009.
UFC 160 takes place on May 25th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Cain Velasquez defending the UFC heavyweight title against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.
