The UFC has added to more women to their bantamweight roster as the UFC has announced that Sara McMann and Alexis Davis have been signed to the roster.
The announcement of the signing came during the UFC 157 media call and both women will participate in a media session next week in California with Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano.
McMann (6-0) was a Silver medalist in the 2004 Summer Olympics in freestyle wrestling and made her professional MMA debut in 2011. She won her first two bouts by stoppage in the first round. Since then, she has gone to the third round in every fight, with three of those wins coming by decision.
Davis (13-5) is a Strikeforce veteran and has won five of his last six fights, with the only lost coming against Sarah Kaufman. Her last two fights have come in Invicta, which she holds wins over Hitomi Akano and Shanya Baszler.
It appears likely that McMann and Davis will meet each other in their first bout in the UFC, but that has not been announced by the UFC at this time.
