Following up last weeks season low rating for The Ultimate Fighter the UFC looked to bounce back with an episode that featured popular cast member Josh Samman defeating Tor Troeng via TKO.
According to Nielsen sources, the sixth episode of The Ulimate Fighter 17 came in 39th overall out of the top 100 cable shows with 1.14 million viewers and a 0.6 in the adult 18-49 demographic.
This episodes very early preliminary estimate was right at last weeks season low 1.13, but has since been adjusted up via Nielsen. Still 1.13 to 1.14 in the world of ratings means very little. Safe to say, as you can see from the chart below The Ultimate Fighter has seemed to find its bottom, now the question becomes where will this show finish.
When it came to other competition in the 9 p.m. time-slot the UFC went up against fierce competition yet again from Top Gear, Face Off and Storage Wars – Texas. Each of the rival spot shows posted 0.7’s in the 18-49 adult demo and well over 1.5 million viewers for each show. The highest rated 9 p.m. cable show ended up being a repeat of The Big Bang Theory on TBS, which at this point is the go-to cable show on Tuesday nights for most American households.
It should also be noted that the College Basketball game on ESPN last night, in the same time slot, looked to have sucked some viewers from all of these shows. The College Basketball game landed at 1.64 million viewers and a 0.6 in the 18-49 demographic also.
