UFC officially adds several bouts to UFC on FUEL TV 9

The fight announcements continued on Monday as the UFC announced several bouts today with the fights being Tom Lawlor vs. Michael Kuiper, Chris Spang vs. Adlan Amagov, Reza Madadi vs. Michael Johnson and Conor McGregor vs. Marcus Brimage.

In the announcement of the new fights, the UFC did not say where the fights will be place on the main card on FUEL TV or the preliminary card on Facebook.

Lawlor (8-5, 1NC) has gone 4-4 in the UFC and his coming off a lost at UFC 154 to Francis Carmont, which was a split decision defeat. Prior to the defeat, he won the knockout of the night bonus for his win at UFC on FUEL TV 3 against Jason MacDonald. Kuiper (12-1) started his career with ten straight wins before being signed by the UFC. He lost his debut with the organization to Rafael Natal and earned his first UFC victory with a TKO won over Jared Hamman at UFC 150.

Spang (5-1) is a Strikeforce import and will be making his UFC debut on this card. He went 1-1 in Strikeforce and he defeated Nah-Shon Burrell by TKO in his last fight in Strikeforce. Amagov (11-2-1) also comes from Strikeforce, where he went 3-1. Two of his three wins in Strikeforce came by TKO/KO and he defeated Keith Barry at the Strikeforce event in August.

Madadi (12-3) was signed by the UFC last year and won his debut against Yoislandy Izquierdo at UFC on FUEL TV 2. He would return at UFC 153 and lost to Cristiano Marcello by split decision. Johnson (12-7) has gone 4-3 in the UFC and recently had his three fight winning streak snapped by Myles Jury at UFC 155, which he lost by unanimous decision.

McGregor (12-2) was just signed by the UFC and eleven of his twelve victories are by TKO/KO. Nine of his victories have come in the first round and is currently on a eight fight winning streak. Brimage (6-1) is a TUF 14 Alum and has gone 3-0 in the UFC. All of his wins have come by decision, with his most recent win coming at UFC 152 against Jimy Hettes.

UFC on FUEL TV 9 takes place on April 6th from the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden and will be headlined by Alexander Gustafsson meeting Gegard Mousasi in a five round light heavyweight bout.
