Later today in London, UFC on FUEL TV 7 will be headlined by Renan Barao (31-1, 1NC) defending the interim UFC bantamweight title against Michael McDonald (15-1).
Both fighters are undefeated in the UFC and Barao has not lost since his professional debut in 2005.
He became the interim champion last year and planned to wait for Dominick Cruz to return from injury. However, Cruz suffered a set back and the UFC decided to have him defend the interim title against McDonald, who has gone 4-0 in the UFC and his last two wins have come by knockout in the first round.
The winner of this fight is unlikely to defend the interim title again as the UFC is hopeful that Cruz will be able to return this summer and a unification bout will take place.
