Matthew Riddle signs with Legacy Fighting Championships

Matthew Riddle was released from the UFC was released last week following his second positive drug test for marijuana and has now been signed by the Legacy Fighting Championships.

His signing was originally reported by MMA Junkie and the Ultimate Fighter alum confirmed the report on Twitter.

Riddle (7-3, 2NC) started his professional MMA career in the UFC after being a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 7.

He won five of his first six fights in the organization, but is 2-2, 2NC in his last six fights.

He tested positive for marijuana at UFC 149 last year and UFC on FUEL TV 7 last month. He won both of those fights, but the result was changed to a no contest due to the positive drug test.

Riddle or Legacy Fighting Championships has not announced when he will make his debut with the company. Legacy Fighting Championships next event is scheduled for April 12th at the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas and will be headlined by a featherweight title bout.
