Wanderlei Silva, Brian Stann and Mark Hunt were awarded the fight night bonuses for their performances at UFC on FUEL TV 8 and each bonus was worth $50,000.
UFC President Dana White announced the bonuses on Twitter after the conclusion of the fight card.
The fight of the night bonus went to Silva and Stann for their main event battle. Silva was also awarded one of the knockout of the night bonuses.
Silva and Stann had a brawl in the main event of UFC on FUEL TV 8, with both fighters landing big shots in the fight. Silva landed a two punch combination in the second round, which led to the end of the fight.
This is the sixth fight that Silva has been awarded a fight night bonus and he has received a bonus in each of his last three fights. For Stann, this is the third time has has won a fight night bonus and it’s his first bonus since his knockout of Jorge Santiago at UFC 130.
Hunt was also awarded a knockout of the night bonus for his victory over Stefan Struve in the co-main event of the fight card. It was his fourth straight win, which is the longest current streak in the UFC heavyweight division. This is the second time that he has won a fight night bonus, with the other time also being a knockout of the night bonus.
