Dave Herman returns from suspension at UFC 162 against Shane Del Rosario

A heavyweight bout has been added to UFC 162 on July 6th in Las Vegas as Dave Herman returns from suspension and will face Shane del Rosario. MGM Grand

UFC officials announced the fight booking on Thursday and the fight will take place on the preliminary card.

UFC 162 takes place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Anderson Silva defending the middleweight title against Chris Weidman.

Herman (21-5) is currently on a three fight losing streak and was suspended following his last fight at UFC 153 against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. He failed his post fight drug test for marijuana and his suspension was lifted this week after passing a drug test.

Del Rosario (11-2) opened his career with eleven straight victories and three of those wins came in Strikeforce. He made his debut in the UFC last year at UFC 146 and was defeated in the second round by Stipe Miocic. He returned at the end of 2012 and once again was defeated in the second round, with this defeat coming against Pat Barry.
