The Ultimate Fighter 17 bonuses went to Cat Zingano, Miesha Tate, Travis Browne and Daniel Pineda as each fighter received a bonus of $50,000.
UFC President Dana White announced the bonuses at the post fight press conference, which took place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center following the conclusion of the fight card.
The fight of the night went to Zingano and Tate, which was a number one contenders bout in the women’s bantamweight division. Zingano won the fight in the third round by TKO.
She entered the third round down on the scorecards and dominated the round from the start before she got the finish at the 2:55 mark of the round.
With the victory, Zingano will be a coach on the next season of The Ultimate Fighter against women’s bantamweight champions Ronda Rousey and the two will face each other upon the conclusion of the reality show.
Browne won the knockout of the night bonus for his first round victory over Gabriel Gonzaga. Browne used elbows to win the fight in 71 seconds and this is the second time that he has won the knockout of the night bonus in his UFC career as the other time was at UFC 130 against Stefan Struve. Overall, this is the third time that he has won a fight night bonus.
The submission of the night went to Pineda, who defeated Justin Lawrence in the opening bout of the preliminary card. He won the fight by a kimura submission at the 1:35 mark of the opening round as he improved his UFC record to 3-2 and all of his UFC wins have come by submission.
