Following last night’s UFC 159 event, New Jersey State Athletic Control Board released the medical suspensions for the fight card and Jon Jones, Alan Belcher, Phil Davis, Jim Miller, Yancy Medeiros and Gian Villante received indefinite suspensions.
Jones defeated Chael Sonnen in the main event of the fight card, but suffered a broken toe before he was able to get the stoppage victory.
The UFC light heavyweight champion will have to be cleared by an orthopedic doctor before he is able to come off suspension.
Belcher’s indefinite suspension is due to his right eye, which he went to the hospital after his fight against Michael Bisping to get check out.
Bisping accidentally poked Belcher in the eye in the third round and Belcher was unable to continue. Belcher will need to be cleared by a ophthalmological before he is able to come off suspension.
