Michael Bisping was able to land nearly 100 significant strikes against Alan Belcher in the UFC 159 co-main event and won a technical decision after an accidental foul in the third round.
Bisping was able to use his boxing and kicks to get the victory as he landed 93 significant strikes in the fight and Belcher was unable to mount much offense.
In the first two rounds, Belcher was only able to land 23 total strikes where Bisping was able to land 50 total strikes. Belcher did try to take the fight to the ground, but Bisping was able to stop the attempts.
In the final round, Bisping accidentally poked Belcher in the eye and Belcher would not be able to continue. Since the fight was in the third round, the fight went to the judges scorecards and Bisping won on all of the judges scorecards.
Bisping (24-5) now has 14 wins in the UFC, which is the most wins by a UFC fighter that has not challenged for a title.
