Sara McMann and Sheila Gaff made their UFC debuts on Saturday night at UFC 159 and McMann dominated Gaff to score a first round TKO victory.
McMann (7-0) was able to take the fight to the ground at the start of the round and was able to keep the fight on the ground for a majority of the round.
After being on the ground for a couple of minutes, Gaff was able to get the fight back to the feet.
However, McMann was able to once again get the fight to the ground and would finish the fight with strikes from the mounted crucifix position.
McMann now has three first round victories with two of those victories coming by TKO. The lost for Gaff (10-5-1) snaps a three fight winning streak and this is the first time that she has been defeated by knockout.
