The season bonuses for The Ultimate Fighter 17 were announced during the live finale with Urijah Hall, Kelvin Gastelum, Dylan Andrews and Luke Barnatt each receiving a bonus of $25,000. 
The fight of the season went to Team Jones member Dylan Andrews and Team Sonnen member Luke Barnatt. Andrews won the fight in the sudden victory round by TKO as Barnatt began to wear down.
Hall did not win the reality show like many people predicted him to do, but he did win the knockout of the season bonus for his win over Adam Cella.
The win over Cella came early in the season as he won the fight by spinning head kick knockout. He would go on to finish all of his opponents during the show, but could not win the show in the finale as he was defeated by Gastelum.
Gastelum won the submission of the season for his won over Josh Samman in the semifinals. Gastelum was the last pick of Team Sonnen and was an underdog in all of his fights on the reality show. He finished all of his opponents during the show and surprised many people when he defeated Samman.
