Marcos Vinicius recently pulled out of his UFC on FX 8 against Yuri Alcantara with an injury and Alcantara will now face Iliarde Santos.
UFC officials announced the new fight on Monday and the bout will take place on the preliminary card.
UFC on FX 8 takes place on May 18th in Brazil and will be headlined by a five round middleweight bout as Vitor Belfort meets Luke Rockhold.
Alcantara (27-4, 1NC) entered the UFC as a featherweight and won his first two fights in the organization. After losing to Hacran Dias at UFC 147, he dropped down to bantamweight at UFC on FX 7 and his fight with Pedro Nobre ended in a no contest due to punches he landed to the back of the head.
Santos (27-6-1, 1NC) will be making his UFC debut in this fight and has won six fights in a row. During his winning streak, four of the wins have come by stoppage in the first round. 18 of his 27 career wins have come by stoppage with 12 of those wins coming by TKO/KO.
