The UFC has released featherweight fighter Bart Palaszewski following his third straight defeat at The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale and he confirmed the news of his release on Twitter today.
I have been let go by the @ufc. I would like to thank them & @seanshelby for all the opportunities and great times. We shall see whats next.

Palaszewski (36-17) entered the UFC in 2011 after going 4-3 in the WEC, which included a win over Anthony Pettis at WEC 45 by split decision in 2009. He won his UFC debut at UFC 137 against Tyson Griffin but that would be his only win in the organization.
He went on to lose three straight fights with two of the three defeats coming by unanimous decision. His decision lost at UFC on FX 5 to Diego Nunes was declared the fight of the night and it was the second time he won a fight night bonus.
Palaszewski will now need to win a couple of fights outside of the UFC in a smaller promotion to work his way back to the UFC.
