An injury has forced Costa Philippou to pull out of his fight next month at UFC on FX 8 in Brazil against Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and replacing Philippou will be Chris Camozzi.
UFC officials announced the change on Friday morning and the fight will be the co-main event of the fight card.
UFC on FX 8 takes place on May 18th in Brazil and will be headlined by a five round middleweight bout as Vitor Belfort meets Luke Rockhold.
Carmozzi was already scheduled to be on the fight card next month and was going to face Rafael Natal on the main card. With Camozzi being moved up in the card to face Jacare, Natal will now face UFC newcomer Joao Zeferino.
