John Makdessi out of UFC 162 and Edson Barboza now faces Rafaello Oliveira

An undisclosed injury has forced John Makdessi to pull out of his UFC 162 bout against Edson Barboza and replacing him in the bout will be Rafaello Oliveira.UFC 162

UFC officials announced the fight booking on Thursday night and the bout will take place on the preliminary card.

UFC 162 takes place on July 6th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will be headlined by Anderson Silva defending the UFC middleweight title against Chris Weidman.

Oliveira (15-5) is currently in his second stint with the UFC and defeated Yoislandy Izquierdo by unanimous decision at UFC 148 to snap a two fight losing streak.

Barboza (11-1) won his first four fights in the UFC before losing for the first time in his career to Jamie Varner at UFC 146 last year. He returned to the octagon at the beginning of the year and defeated Lucas Martins in the first round.
