Garcia (15-11-1) originally entered the UFC in 2007 and moved over to the WEC in 2008. Once in the WEC, he dropped to featherweight and won three of his first four fights in the organization. After that, he went 2-2-1 before coming back to the UFC in 2010 when the WEC was merged into the UFC.
He won his first fight back in the UFC at The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale which was a controversial split decision over Nam Phan. That would be his last win in the organization as he went on to lost five straight with the last four defeats coming by decision.
During his time in the UFC/WEC, he won seven fight night bonuses and six of those were fight of the night bonuses.
