Nobutatsu Suzuki scored his tenth professional victory on Friday against former UFC fighter Phil Baroni as he won the fight in the first round by knockout.
Baroni opened the fight with landing several big punches and had Suzuki on his heels. He then landed a right hand that dropped Suzuki and he went in for the finish.
He landed several strikes on the ground before Suzuki got back to his feet. Suzuki landed a body shot but Baroni landed a double leg takedown and had top control. Suzuki would be able to scramble to his feet and breakaway from Baroni.
Suzuki landed a two punch combination with one minute left in the round and followed up the combination by landing several knees against the fence. As Baroni was attempting to back away, Suzuki landed a right hand that dropped Baroni and finished the fight on the ground by strikes. After the conclusion of the fight, the replay showed that Baroni suffered a lower leg injury and the doctors came in to work on him.
Suzuki (10-1-2) has now won all of his fights by TKO/KO and this is his sixth career win coming in the first round. Baroni (15-17) has dropped seven of his last night fights and is 1-2 in ONE FC.
