Khabib Nurmagomedov remained undefeated in his MMA career on Saturday night as he dominated Abel Trujillo to win by unanimous decision. 
After feeling each other out for the first thirty seconds of the fight, Trujillo came after Nurmagomedov with several punches.
After exchanging strikes, Trujillo was able to take the fight to the ground and Nurmagomedov looked for a submission from his back. He went for an armbar and Trujillo was able to escape.
Nurmagomedov would get back to his feet and take the fight to the ground. While on the ground, Nurmagomedov had the back of his opponent but Trujillo would work his way back to his feet. They would grapple against the fence and Trujillo would be able to break away and he then performed a takedown.
While on his back, Nurmagomedov locked in a triangle choke but Trujillo would survive the submission attempt and make it to the end of the round.
At the start of the second round, Nurmagomedov used his striking to set up his grappling and grabbed the back of his opponent. Trujillo was able to spin out of the hold and they began to brawl. After each fighter landed several punches, Nurmagomedov took the fight to the ground and jumped on the back of his opponent.
Trujillo was able to get back to his feet but once again he was taken to the ground. He would scramble back to his feet but Nurmagomedov continued to grapple and take him to the ground. He would keep the fight in the position until the bell sounded and took a two round lead heading into the final round.
Trujillo landed a right hand to start the round but once again, Nurmagomedov took the fight to the ground and got ahold of his back. Trujillo would work his way back to his feet but Nurmagomedov had no problem taking the fight to the ground. Trujillo would not be able to get back to his feet in the final three minutes of the round and he suffers the first lost in his UFC career..
All three judges scored the fight 30-27 for Nurmagomedov (20-0), who is now 4-0 in the UFC and could receive a top ten UFC lightweight in his next fight.
